Determinations

If you would like the Office of Human Research (OHR) to issue you a formal determination memo as to whether your study is not human subjects research, please fully complete the Human Subjects Determination Worksheet (.PDF) and send to us for review at [email protected].

Please note that the current regulations use the term "human subject" but OHR uses and encourages use of the term "human participant/research participant" in place of "subject." You may see OHR use the term "subject" when quoting regulations. If you have any questions about this or would like more information please reach out to [email protected].
