Training & Assistance

GW has partnered with the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) to provide human subjects research training through an online program. Investigators and research staff are required to complete initial human subjects training before being listed as a team member on a protocol, and continuing training is required at least every two years through CITI Program.

OHR also offers educational training sessions to benefit the GW research community, such as the monthly IRB Trainings which presents different human subjects research topics, as well as classroom or departmental outreach sessions. The OHR visits all campuses.

For a more personalized or study-specific outreach, individuals or small groups can schedule an appointment to discuss a proposed project with an OHR staff member by emailing [email protected].
